causas de inasistencia el tiempo de espera prolongado,
el horario no conveniente para el paciente o el costo de
redireccionamiento.

Como limitación, estos resultados no deben generalizarse
a todos los servicios de urgencias y dado que nuestros
proveedores de salud tienen una capacitación institucional,
la evaluación del triage puede variar en comparación con
otros departamentos de emergencias.
El referir los pacientes de bajo riesgo a centros de atención
básica como una de las estrategias descongestionantes de
los servicios de urgencias ha demostrado tener éxito,
este subgrupo por lo regular es de población joven sin
comorbilidades. Consideramos que es una estrategia segura
sin riesgos adicionales para los pacientes ni para el servicio
de urgencias, incluso si se incluyen que no asisten a las citas
asignadas.
