The Repertory of Medicine and Surgery publication scientific is the scientific dissemination organ of the San José group of Bogotá DC, Colombia, composed of the Society of Surgery of Bogotá - Hospital de San José, the University Foundation of Health Sciences FUCS and the Children's Hospital University of San José, founded in 1909 and after some periods of interruption, reappeared on August 1, 2000 and is a quarterly publication.
Publishes original articles, review articles, topic reviews, case reports and practice guides, among others, that comply with editorial policies. The topics are related to the area of ​​health and related sciences to this discipline, it aims to be the means of spreading the research generated by students, teachers and local, regional and international researchers and in turn, promote and strengthen the generation networks and knowledge transfer.
The journal Repertorio de Medicina y Cirugía is reviewed in the Index of Latin American Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), in the Mexican Index of Latin American Biomedical Journals (Imbiomed), the National Index of Serial Scientific and Technological Colombian Publications of Colciencias and of the Latin American Index of Scientific and Technological Journals (LATINDEX).

All articles must adhere to the rules established in the Instructions for authors. The Journal follows the standards of scientific publication in all its aspects such as peer review and ethical precepts.
The Journal accepts the agreement on Uniform Requirements to prepare manuscripts sent to Biomedical Journals, prepared by the International Committee of Medical Journal Directors (ICMJE), which are published as "Uniform requirements for manuscripts submitted to biomedical journal" in (http://www.icmje.org).
