The gynecological endoscopy group of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics of the Hospital of San José develops its own technique of Japaroscopic hysterectomy, based on bipolar coagulation, dissection and cutting, looking for it to strengthen the training program and its costs are of interest for Health Promotion Organizations (EPS). Between 1995 and 1998 20 patients were treated with the procedure already described. A surgical time of 120 minutes was obtained as an important result and hospital stay, professional fees, material and equipment were calculated, comparing them with the already known costs of the abdominal and vaginal route. Said technique is less expensive than the other routes, as long as the use of disposable elements is rationalized. This also allowed us to perfect the training program in gynecological endoscopy, leading us to be pioneers in the field.
