      The objective of this research was to standardize the use of the cell block in the diagnosis of solid and cystic lesions of the mammary gland. It includes from the taking of the biopsy to determine if there is sufficient material, time of centrifugation, number of cytological plates, conservation of the morphology and the recovery of material for processing in paraffin in order to make routine histological cuts, hormonal receptors and special colors .
