Observational, longitudinal descriptive study (level III). Objective: to describe the clinical, demographic and possible risk factors in patients with Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease (PCL) in three hospitals in Bogotá DC, Colombia between 2003 and 2013. Materials and methods: orthopedic clinical records of patients with PCL in age ranges between 4 and 14 years. Results: the total population was 83 patients with 89 hips involved; 88% were men. The risk factors found were: in 24 cases (29%) attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), 23 (28%) showed passive exposure to cigarette smoke from the mother during pregnancy and 4.8% had blood dyscrasias. Conclusions: taking into account the results, it was not shown that PCL disease in pediatric patients was related to elderly mothers (> 35 years) at the time of delivery; 29% attended with ADHD and 28% with passive exposure to cigarette smoke during pregnancy. Abbreviations: LCP, Legg-Calvé-Perthes; ADHD, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
