The erythema nodosum is the most frequent septal panniculitis with nodules of 1 to 5 cm, inflammatory, symmetrical, painful, erythematous, almost always on the distal extensor surface of the lower limbs. They usually remit spontaneously, chronic evolution is rare and multiple causes of this pathology are described. Two cases are presented: the first, a 28-year-old woman with a clinical picture of fifteen days due to an abscess in the left breast that required surgical drainage and antibiotic treatment, with subsequent onset of right lower limb lesion associated with pain and fever. The second was a black 49-year-old man referred for a 20-day period with weight loss, oppressive chest pain, and nodules appearing in the lower limbs, painful on palpation.
