Foetal myocarditis is a rare condition, which makes it difficult to determine its real incidence and prevalence. This is the first case that we have seen. The causes may be classified as infectious or non-infectious. In the former, viral agents are those that are more associated with this condition. An autopsy case is presented on a male foetal stillbirth of 27 weeks gestation of a mother of 24 years of age with an infection caused by parvovirus B19. Ascites and hepatosplenomegaly was observed in the autopsy. The histopathology showed a severe interstitial and perivascular lymphocytic inflammatory cell infiltrate accompanied by necrosis, muscle fibre ruptures, and oedema.
