Tuberculosis is a serious public health problem most prevalent in developing countries. Of extrapulmonary manifestations, those involving the abdominal cavity are among the least frequent and are associated with specific predisposing factors. A high level of diagnostic suspicion is required in the initial approach of this disease. We present the case of a male adult patient with no predisposing conditions who consulted for chronic abdominal pain. The complementary studies evidenced peritoneal tuberculosis with pleural involvement with no respiratory symptoms.
