Abstract
Small intestine bleeding accounts for 5% of digestive bleeding and this is mainly due to vascular malformations. Ideally, its diagnosis is made by endoscopic capsule, although it depends on the patient's condition, as well as the availability of access.
The case of a female patient is presented, who presents with a picture of hematochezia, conditioning her to a state of hypovolemic shock and cardiorespiratory arrest, with negative high and low endoscopy study, and due to the impossibility of accessing the endoscopic capsule, a surgical intervention was performed, with identification of jejunal vascular ectasia.
