Main Article Content
Abstract
Brain death or brain death is a recent concept in medicine that has awakened an intense ethical, cultural and biomedical controversy that interests not only neurologists, transplantologists and judges. Its diagnosis is essentially clinical, however, it means a great challenge for the medical observer. Paraclinical methods can help, shortening the time of observation and are necessary in cases of poisoning by neurotoxic, hypothermia or in newborns.
