Advanced perforated gastric carcinoma and myocardial infarction with ventricular rupture: Report of two cases Carcinoma gástrico avanzado perforado e infarto miocárdico con ruptura ventricular: Reporte de dos casos

Abstract

We present two patients who died due to an unknown cause, with atypical clinical pictures who underwent a clinical autopsy. The first corresponds to a woman admitted to the emergency department for abdominal pain associated with semiliquid bowel movements, later loss of consciousness and death, who was found at the autopsy an advanced gastric adenocarcinoma perforated with associated peritonitis. The second case corresponds to a woman who comes to the emergency room for presenting a picture of abdominal pain associated with nausea and emesis. He presented sudden death in the emergency room, finding an acute myocardial infarction at the autopsy with rupture of the free wall of the left ventricle, as well as diverticulitis and an enterovesical fistula.
