Abstract
Thirty-seven-year-old woman admitted to the hospital for infertility work-up. Pelvic ultrasound showed a hyperechogenic image within the endometrial cavity mimicking an intrauterine device. Patient was asymptomatic and had no important antecedents except for a spontaneous abortion thirteen years before. Hysteroscopy revealed multiple osseous fragments, the biggest greater than 2 cm in Iength. Fragments were removed with grasping clamps with no complications. Pathologist report established the diagnosis of osseous metaplasia of the endometrium.
